When I was a child, I started to pracice piano. I was very nervous in every piano examinations, so I always refuse any performances. Three years ago, my piano teacher asked me to perform in a small concert. She said that it was a good chance before I had a Grade 8 examination, so I contsented. In this small concert, I played the piano in front of 150 audiences and 3 examiners from England.
Every morning, I waked up early to went to the music center at 7am to practice the songs before school. My piano teacher guided me how to express the feelings of the songs and nice gestures. Although it was painstaking, I still persisted to practice in every morning. At that time, I gave consideration to my school studies and the concert.
Once time, I was very tired and I felt a sleep in my lesson. I was punished by my teacher, and she tried to make me stop practice piano. She asked me that which one was more important, the A-level examination or the small concert. If I failed in the A-level examination, I could not go to university in Hong Kong. However, I still prepared for the small concert, and I promised to my teacher that I would study hard than before after the concert had finished. It was because it was a precious chance to perform in front of the examiner who were from the Trinity College of Music.
In the day of the small concert, I was very nervous. I went to the music center in the morning, and waited for the time. One minite before the performance, my brain could not think anythings. When I looked to the audiences, I was slightly inferior to forget how to play. In my performance, I made some mnistakes, but I still played the whole songs.
After the concert, I had a chance to meet the examiners. They said that I had talent but still need more practices in skills. I was cheerful. Later, I also passed my Grade 8 examination. I was delighted. My piano teacher was ecstatic because I had practiced the Grade 8 just for 6 months, so that she could use this to attrack more students to come. After the first time, I would like to have the second and third and fouth. It can train me not be nervous in every next times.

On another note, I like how you try to use words from the Vocabulary and Idioms class here and elsewhere. Keep up the good work!
Nice. I learned Violin when I was 8 years old. But I dropped it on half way because I couldn't practice as I have a lot of homework to do. Thats precious if u have such an experience. GOOD luck...
